We were super chuffed to be featured on BBC One’s Morning Live, alongside our friends at The Wave Bristol! It was a fantastic opportunity to share what life on (and in) the water means to us, and to shine a light on how paddleboarding in Bristol Harbour can boost both body and mind.
For me, paddling, swimming and surfing have been part of life for so long that it’s hard to imagine being without them. There’s something about the power and calm of water that helps us slow down, refocus, and let go of whatever’s on our minds.
It’s amazing to see growing recognition that blue spaces like rivers, harbours and lakes might be even more beneficial for our wellbeing than green spaces. So… how do we make sure everyone can enjoy them?
That’s exactly what inspires us at SUP Bristol, helping people connect with Bristol’s waterways through paddleboarding lessons, group adventures, and team activities on the harbour.
