We recently transformed the historic Bristol Harbour into a vibrant hub of camaraderie, competition, and compassion as teams from across the South West gathered for the fifth annual Stand Up for Safe Water paddleboarding event. Organised by Frank Water in partnership with SUP Bristol, this flagship fundraiser brought together local businesses to raise awareness and vital funds for safe water access in communities worldwide.
Despite ‘challenging’ weather conditions, the day was filled with energy and enthusiasm. Teams competed in a series of fun and engaging challenges, including the classic sprint relay, a water bucket challenge, and the popular SUP Ball. Participants embraced the spirit of the event by donning creative fancy dress costumes, adding an extra layer of fun to the proceedings.

Community and Corporate Engagement
The event saw participation from a diverse range of local businesses, including Arup, Bath and Bristol Regional Capital (BBRC), CO2Balance, Pieminister, and Bart Ingredients. Each team not only showcased their paddling prowess but also their commitment to supporting global water initiatives. Through their involvement, they helped raise nearly £5,000 for Frank Water’s projects, which focus on improving water quality, sanitation, and hygiene in remote regions. (frankwater.com)
