We couldn’t agree more with the statement above from Bristol Mayor, Marvin Rees, talking on his blog about the recent proposed Bristol City Council fee increases for water users.
We’re currently going through the ‘consultation’ process so haven’t said a lot about this just yet.
However, we wanted to let the mayor know just how many brilliant projects are already going on at the harbour, and how many talented and passionate people there are, working to broaden access to the water for all.
Today we decided we need to be louder about the great things we do to ensure the water is for all, and not just a privileged few. So we wrote Marvin a letter and invited him for a paddle.
I hope he decides to join us.
