Pedals and Paddles (7 June)

Sunday 7 June  |  10.00 – 15.00  |  Meeting at Mud Dock Cafe, Harbourside

Ride out from Bristol along the serene River Avon – then swap your pedals for paddles and your bike for a board. Paddleboard, that is!

We’ll leave Mud Dock on the harbourside and ride in convoy along the River Avon. When we get to Hanham we’ll lock up our bikes and hop on stand up paddleboards to enjoy the serene calm of the countryside around the River Avon. Back on land, we’ll enjoy food, drink and merriment in the Lock and Weir, followed by a leisurely ride home for tea and medals.

Don’t worry if you haven’t tried it before, paddleboarding is great fun and quick to learn! You just need to be aged 12+ and able to swim. We will provide the stand up paddleboard, paddle and full, expert tuition.

You should pack in your pannier: clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet, suncream, pennies for the pub and a towel.

Pedals and Paddles is part of Bristol Cycle Festival 2015
